A great way of engaging with the community to share in the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the town. Informative and innovative presentation with clear buy in from the local community.
Competition Comment:
Outstanding community service is an area where community newspapers and sites should shine. Alas, publishers need new ideas for this category. Almost all of the entries were recycled from previous years or knock-offs from other papers. Community newspapers should be coming up with new and original ideas to engage their communities. However, the three winners did a great job of highlighting people, events or issues in their communities and told great stories that engaged their readers.
