Fantastic photography, a clean design and eye-catching front pages put this paper ahead of the competition. Great job.
Place Name: Second Place Contestant Name: Guysborough Journal (Guysborough, NS) Judge Comment: The Guysborough Journal is a few small design changes away from challenging for top spot. The headline type face is too small and left too much white space, and the small columns with unjustified text made it difficult to read at times. However, the community coverage was excellent and, as a group, the features were the best of any of the contestants.
