  • Competition Comment: The power of the voice of the newspaper clearly came through in all the entries in this competition. The topics chosen were relevant, timely and important, demonstrating critical thinking as well as leadership within the community. The Cowichan Valley's editorial, "No Justice Here" discussed an issue of clear national importance. Well written and succinct, the editorial clearly outlined the problem and ended with a call to action. The writer's outrage at the judge's decision came through in the strong writing.
